Welcome Fall

I am so past ready for Fall to be here! It is by far my most favorite season! One it is Mase's birthday month. My 2nd favorite holiday, Halloween of course! I love the leaves the trees you name it I am so all about fall. I have not been on here actually blogging alot lately. Reta scared me half to death and ended up in the hospital in pretty bad shape. The Lord has really helped her though and luckily she will be back at home resting soon. Mase is loving Pre-School. I promise I am going to put some pics of his work up asap. I have just really been a busy girl lately. He is getting so big and I don't just mean big in growth. Big in attitude too! He tells me all the time I am a big boy and I can do it by myself!! He asked me yesterday if he could have a rain coat like his for his sister. I said you don't have a sister. He said but I want one!! I told him to wish as hard as he can and that wish still might not come true. Especially right now I am definently not in baby frame of mind!! He has been repeating some of Travis 's choice words too, which are not funny, but you can't blame the kid. He loves the Flo Progressive Insurance comercials his new favorite thing is too repeat them. He will say pretty good pretty good, and oh no Flo bot is broken, and everytime he sees the race car bed commercial he has got to have it!! He is too funny!! Love him to pieces!!

Scary

The second thing I always thank the Lord for when I pray is the safety and good health of my child. Today he took a spill, fell, hit his head on the coffee table, then hit the floor. Luckily my husband was there. Mason immediately started crying, but then had a hard time catching his breath. I told my husband to blow on his face to try and distract him. After 10 seconds he was non-responsive, and went limp (arms and legs). All of my nursing practice fell short and of course I panicked this was not just someone's child, it was my child. My husband was the one to stay calm and shook him, rubbed his face, called his name several times. He finally came to, it was not over 15 seconds, but scary in the least. I called my mother-in-law, then Travis and I tried to decide whether to take hime to the ER or call our doctor, by this time he was up running around playing and acting like normal. I waited about 30 minutes, then went ahead and called our Dr's office to talk to a nurse practioner, to see whether to take him in to get checked out or wait. We called and talked to the practioner who asked a series of questions all the answers was no and I felt alot better. She said to just keep an eye on him through out the night and touch him ever so often to see if he will arouse while asleep, All of which I knew was the protocal for the type of injury. It was just so different because it was my child. I am just so thankful he is okay and that I had Travis there to calm both of us down!
