Wooh hoo, a new Position...

It has been a while since I have actually blogged, I am so excited for this new year at work. The Principal that I worked at Bellshire is coming to Cane Ridge! I loved working with her. I really wanted a pre-K position when I worked with her, but they were all filled so I took the Special Needs Positon, which is what I wanted at the time, especially after I went in and visited the room and their sweet faces. I got really attached, but I could not work way out in East Nashville and live in Murfreesboro, so I asked for a transfer as close as I could get to Rutherford County and still be in Metro. By word of mouth I got put out at Mt.View which was the Lord I know! It is literally almost in Lavergne. I worked there for 2 years I have worked a one on one postion and I worked in a full on classroom setting like I did at Bellshire. I have to say I love it, and love my job. So I knew thanks to dad that my old principal was coming to the new elementary school Cane Ridge, which is opening this year. I really wanted to go to a new school just opening, and I wanted to try Pre-K, but I did not want to burn any bridges at Mt. View which I loved just as much. I decided not to call or take matters into my own hands, and just to let the Lord work it out, if it was meant to be that was where I would go. If I was meant to stay at Mt. View with my special needs kids that was ok too. Much to my surprise my dad got an email from my old principal asking specificly if I would be interested in any positions and said she had thought about me. I was shocked I knew the Lord had to be in and trust me I had prayed! Of course I said yes, to jump at the chance of working with her again and it was a pre- K position she had. I was sold! So amazing how the Lord just works things out perfectly when you give him the chance! That is what my Lord did for me!! Well I really need to jump off of here, our Revival is next week and I have been slacking so bye for now.

Scary

The second thing I always thank the Lord for when I pray is the safety and good health of my child. Today he took a spill, fell, hit his head on the coffee table, then hit the floor. Luckily my husband was there. Mason immediately started crying, but then had a hard time catching his breath. I told my husband to blow on his face to try and distract him. After 10 seconds he was non-responsive, and went limp (arms and legs). All of my nursing practice fell short and of course I panicked this was not just someone's child, it was my child. My husband was the one to stay calm and shook him, rubbed his face, called his name several times. He finally came to, it was not over 15 seconds, but scary in the least. I called my mother-in-law, then Travis and I tried to decide whether to take hime to the ER or call our doctor, by this time he was up running around playing and acting like normal. I waited about 30 minutes, then went ahead and called our Dr's office to talk to a nurse practioner, to see whether to take him in to get checked out or wait. We called and talked to the practioner who asked a series of questions all the answers was no and I felt alot better. She said to just keep an eye on him through out the night and touch him ever so often to see if he will arouse while asleep, All of which I knew was the protocal for the type of injury. It was just so different because it was my child. I am just so thankful he is okay and that I had Travis there to calm both of us down!
