Pre-K at Cane Ridge
How excited am I to get to go to a brand new school, with brand new furniture and supplies? Can you say very!! I almost feel undeserving!! I love the school, we have neon rainbow colors through out. I love my teacher I am working with. She is so organized she puts me to shame!! Love the kids!! Mason and I have been so busy getting him ready for pre school to say the least he is ready, but I am not sure about his understanding on it. He keeps on asking me to not let the kids hurt or be mean to him:(
He is getting so big. I don't know where the time went. He was looking at a pic with nana and asked me if the baby was missing legs since they were not in the pic. I started laughing that is my boy! Next week I will be fighting tears for sure!! Until next time....
BTW we are the Cane Ridge Owls... too cute....

Back To Life ... Back to Reality
We got back Sat. night from Florida, we had a great time. I almost hated to come back except I really missed church and Travis. Mason had a blast and so did I. It was good to get away for awhile, went by way too quick, but every minute was worth it. I will give you a run down with many pics as soon as I can. We arrived at about 7:30 Sat night then Sunday we pretty much stayed on the beach and relaxed at the condo. Monday more beach. Tuesday we were ready to get out so we went to ZooWorld they had just about every animal you could imagine except for an elephant and zebra. The giraffe came right up to us and let us feed him or her, it was too cool! Wednesday we went to GulfWorld saw dolphin shows, sea lions, parrots, penguins, ect. Thurday beach day again we went to eat later that night and hung out at Pier Park which is PCB'S version of the Avenue. Friday beach all day, pool then more shopping. Sat. we were coming home. The week flew by too fast. I got Mason to hold a hermit crab while he was down there, I was proud of that. The water was really calm, clear, and blue, beautiful. My dad gave me a scare on Wed. morning I had a fear on me to go ahead and get up with him and Mason. He had some issues lately with his blood pressure. He took a big drink of water and I guess it went down the wrong way, next thing I knew he had passed out, fell, hit his head on the hard tile in the kitchen. I was so scared! I hollered for my mom and then preceeded to do the only thing I knew to do, to keep talking to him and pray. He came out of it real quick. He got over it alot quicker than I did, and he had a huge goose egg on his head, but other than that he was ok. So thankful the Lord was there with me I know it could have been alot worse! I came back with a good tan, atleast on my arms and legs I was excited about that. It has been so long since I have had a tan, a natural one anyway. All in all a great trip, would not trade the memories for anything! Hope evryone has a great week! I will post the pics as soon as I can!!

What happened to the break in Spring Break?
What a week, a crazy, busy, but fun week. Bo was in the hospital at the beginning of break. Reta and I had planned to go down to Stacey's. Monday afternoon I was driving Mason and me down or should I say up to Lookout Mnt. We had a great time and I got to do some work while I was up there, which really helped make up for the time I missed not getting paid for break, but at any rate we came back on Wed. and it was my time to clean at church I did that , then it was church that night. Garrett came back with us and he wanted to see the American Pickers mueseum so downtown Nashville here we come, that was Thursday. Friday I caught up on some reading. Friday night was our singing which was a really good singing. Alot of the singers got blessed, it was a really good feeling! So up to Sat. spending it with papa and nana. Then tommorow is Easter, what a week. Monday is back to work :(Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!!

Walking On Sunshine
Sunday night was amazing, I got a blessing and needed it so bad! I am so thankful for it, even feeling non deserving. I know sounds crazy but I had rather see my sisters and brothers get one. All I can say is thank you Lord!! At any rate I had to tell something funny about Mason, awhile back he was staying the night with papa and nana. He had picked his nose and my dad said you can put that one on my shirt and I will throw it away for you. A couple of minutes later he said Mason was picking his nose again and He said what are you doing? He said I am getting another one for you. Ha ha totally gross, that he would even let him do that in the first place. Mason is such a mess literally. I just don't know what to do about some of the things that come out of his mouth!

Yet again
So this week has been interesting to say the least. Bo has been in the hospital again with a twisted bowel. Luckily it has straightened itself out and he gets to come home today. Things at home well they have been tight, but we are managing.I am so greatful even if it was under bad circumstances that Stacey and Greg came up to see a Bo. It is always an adventure when they are here. I also jump at any chance to get to see my nephews! Love them!! Mason even thinks he is a York instead of an Owens when they are here. It is hilarious mainly because I think if they offered for him to come live with them he would.I guess that is the way family is suppose to be what is mine is yours even if its kids haha.Well I could not have asked for a better weekend see ya!

Been A Long Time
I know it has been almost a month since I have blogged... So much has happened and I am so thankful for how the Lord has blessed me lately. He has really worked out problems I have had, by just me praying and talking to him about it!! Mason has gotten so big and is a big boy now sob sob, don't get it wrong that DOES NOT MEAN I AM READY FOR ANOTHER ONE just yet, not that the idea hasn't crossed my mind, but at any rate I am content with the one I have. I am going to post some pics at some point I promise about what we have been up to lately.. until then...

Oh Foot!!!
So we have been so busy lately adjusting to Travis's new work schedule, among others things that we have had to take care of lately. One of which I am so happy to be done with almost. I am keeping my fingers crossed, we are not totally clear but I do see a little light at the end of the tunnel, and trust me it is a blessing ,Thank the Lord!!!, but enough about me now to the funner part of this blog My child has picked up on some rather colorful expressions from Ya Ya. Anytime she is upset or frustrated she says ''Oh Foot so now anytime Mason gets to feeling aggrivated thats what he says. Yesterday he dropped something in the floor board and said it, almost fell, said it. You get the picture, kinda hilarious, believe me I had much rather he say that than to pick up on his daddy's language. Well until next time..

Wake Walking
I am so tired today I think I could fall asleep walking. Mason has given me a run for my money this weekend, not that I did not have a good one. It did kinda feel like I had brought one of my kids from school home for the weekend. He was so grouchy and mean, crying at the drop of a hat, hitting. I could have screamed Sat night. I was like who's kid are you and where did you come from. By Sunday he was calmer, but I wasn't. I had to cook for our fourth Sunday at church and it was my first time doing my block by myself. I was so proud I got everything done, got out of the house on time, made it to my mother-in-laws on time. Everything still in one piece. So we usually just take my mother-in-law's car since we are both going to the same place. She can be a bit of a speed racer. We went around a curb on Jefferson Pike at like 60 mph I am not exaggerating, and I just knew my eggs were dumped. She told me not to worry everything was ok, and we did not have anything that was sloshy. Sure enough we get to church and my corn is all over her trunk!! I could have cried, at the rate I was going this weekend, this topped it off. I was ready to cry, but didn't. I mean who is going to cry over some spilt corn. Anyways hopefully today will be better. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Bah Humbug!
So I hate to say this but I am so ready for Christmas to be over this year. Which is sad because Christmas is my second favorite holiday after Halloween. This year has not been good money wise, and I feel really bad! I know that there is nothing I can really do about it other than pray, and just be thankful for the presents I have been able to afford. Hopefully next year will be better. Mason is going to have gifts from Santa and I guess it could always be worst! So here is to next year being better and me more in the Christmas spirit!!!

Babbling About Bathtubs
I just thought this was too funny not to post... Mason and I were having a conversations about our bathtubs. Of course I never know what to expect out of his mouth. While I was cleaning his bathtub he looked up at me and said. ''Mommy you cleaned my bathtub, and Daddy's bathtub?'' I told him yes, then I had to ask, ''Where is mommy's bathtub?'' He said ''Out in your car.'' I laughed so hard I could of cried. Just like a man or boy, us women do all the cleaning and work to maintain, and they get all the credit and their own bathtub!! LOL

Great Expectations
There have been so many times in life where I have wondered, what in the world are people thinking? Why on God's green earth would they think that it is ok to do that or to think that away? Lord knows I need alot of charity to deal with certain people. I always pray for a compassionate heart. To be able to overlook the little things, that doesn't mean there are not times when I want to take off my shoe and throw it at their head. My husband prime example... but I think that if I can just learn not to put the expectations I have for myself onto other people I would be ok. I am thankful this year for my family, those of them that make an effort to be apart of Mason's life especially. There are some that I feel could step up a little more and be an adult. Maybe it is me just keeping them out. But you are going to have to do alot more than just getting in touch with me on a network. I have fogiven, but forgetting is hard. Even more so when you know the person will never understand your side.

Big Changes and Deep Breathes
Craziness, that is all I can say, work has decided to do away with the position I was working, so now I am down with the smaller kids in the CBIP room which means I have to re-adjust my whole way of thinking and focus on behavior. It has been a very interesting week and yes there have been many a time I have wanted to scream, but them there has been many a time where I have laughed till I have just about cried! I know I am extremely fortunate and thankful to have a job, this job! Mason has been a little crazy this week too, he has been pushing it on the bed time issue, and believe me I have been too tired to fight. Hopefully this new schedule I will get use to until next time...

To be Optimus Prime or to be Bumble Bee.. That is the Question.
I am going to be so busy this weekend I don't know where to start. Tommorow night is the Halloween party at church. The biggest question and task tommorow will be will Mason want to be Optimus Prime or Bumblebee? I sure it will be a knock down drag out fight but that is my boy and the Travis coming out in him as I like to call it. Then Saturday is his Birthday party. I can't believe he is going to be three! It literally seems like just last week I was bringing him home, and going thru 30 diapers in one night ha ha the joys of being a parent for the first time. My mother-in -law will not let me live that one down. We are suppose to rent a bouncer for all the kids and I have a ton of decorations goody bags which I have to make tonight. I am telling you I don't know what I would do without Travis's and my parents. There would have been no way for us to have pulled this off finacially. Speaking of that I prayed my heart out for months not to let Travis's job lay him off. I was so worried. The Lord really answered that prayer and is even given him some over time for Thankgiving and Christmas which believe me I would rather him be home with us but at the same time we really are going to need the money! Well, I am going to get off of here and tend to these children.

30 Day Photo Challenge cont
Day 25 - A pic of your Day...
My day consist of Mason on the weeekends, here is Batman taking a nap.
Day 26 - A pic of something that means alot to you...
Not only was this my Wedding Day and that means alot to me, but also the fact that almost all of mine and Travis's family traveled to Gatlinburg to celebrate it with us. That made it even more special! They did it without complaining, atleast in front of us, and did not just treat it as a vaca and what can I get out of it. They did it because they loved us and wanted to be there! I just could not imagine it being the same without them. I love each and everyone one of them. This was my 2nd favorite day ever!!
Day 27 - A pic of yourself and a family member...
Of course, Miss Aspen the priss, and me. She has been my child now going on for 6 years. This is not the best pic of me, but it was when we lived in Bama and it was a good time for Travis and I working on our relationship, and him being able to spend time with Michael. I have regrets about us moving back, but I would not trade those months for anything!! I am so happy we had that opportunity! It gave me clarity and taught me how strong of a person I really could be. It also let me realize the appreciation for the people in my life and God's plan.
Day - 28 A pic of something you are afraid of...
The picture pretty much says it all, I am scared of failing at anything everything. I guess I am my own worst enemy sometimes.
Day - 29 A pic that can always make you smile...
Anytime Mason and Aspen interact it cracks me up, they are so funny together. She aggravates him, he aggravates her it never gets old. In this pic he was in her spot, so I guess she was going to get into his spot, priceless!!
Day 30 - A pic of someone you miss...
I miss grandaddy alot. He beleived in me, he believed in all of his grandchildren and wanted nothing but the best for them. He was a better man than most and he will be missed by everybody who knew him.

30 Day Photo Challenge -continued
Day 4 - A pic of your night....

Mason's new favorite thing is for me to pull up utube and for him to watch old batman and superman cartoons, so this is what he did last night while Travis and I watched as much of the race as we could until we were too tired to hold our eyes open. That really makes me feel old, but what can I say you tire easily when you have a two year old.
Day 5 - A pic of your favorite memory....

This is by far my favorite memory to date! I will never forget this day Halloween 2008. The day Mason Drake Owens was born. He was so beautiful, right down to his cone shaped head! I was so blessed. The labor I was in was not the worst in the world considering it was a 12 hour labor, they did not give me my epi till an hour before he was here. Need I mention my 3rd degree tear yea, but I would not trade my happy healthy child for anything in the world!!
Day 6 - A pic of the person you would love to trade places with for the day...

I have loved Drew Barrymore since I watched her in E.T. She is one of my favorite actresses. I know she makes bank b/c she is more of a producer now than actor. The older she gets the prettier she gets too. It would be a win win situation. She is awesome and I admire her for her career and positive attitude.

The 30 Day photo Challenge
You are suppose to do one a day, but I am going to do 3 a day so I am kinda cheating...
DAY 1 -A pic of yourself with 10 facts...

This is me with my blonde hair highlights that I can no longer get. This pic was taken after I had Mason, we were living with Travis's parents so it was a tough time, but now I know everything happens for a reason and some things fall into place when they are suppose to fall into place.
1. I am a vegetarian, I eat sometimes pepperoni uncooked, but that is about the only type of meat I will eat.
2. I have OCD just not with cleaning but with where I put stuff, I don't like clutter, everything had its place. I am a organization freak. I mean I will color code mine and Mason's closet, I would probably do my husbands if he would let me.
3.I work with special needs kids and I LOVE IT!!!
4. I have been married to my husband for over 4years. We dated for 5 years before that.
5.I went to TSU for 3 and a half years, got into Nursing school and decided that was NOT what I wanted to do.
6. I have the most beautiful 2 year and Siamese cat that you have ever seen, their names are Mason and Aspen.
7. I love to sing even though I sound like nails on a chalkboard. I still love doing it!
8. I recently got the Holy Ghost and I go to Smyrna Holiness Church. At this point in my life I am very blessed and very happy!!
9. I love the beach, when I was growing up we would go to PCB beach every year that is one of my favorite places, the other is Gatlinburg, that is where my husband and I married.
10. I am obsessed a bit with shoes a girl can never have enough, since I can't color my hair anymore shoes are my new thing!
Day 2 - A pic of you with the person you have been closest with the longest...

I know this sounds really cheesy but it is definently Travis, he knows me inside and out and I will say he has known me the longest I have friends I have known longer, but I am not as close to them as I am to him. His face says it all! We definently take turns making this face at one another. HA!
Day 3 - A pic of the cast from your favorite show...

Grey's Anatomy is my favorite, I loved it in the beginning the cast rocked, before George got killed off and Izzie ran off. It still is a great show, but the original cast is what made it Grey's!

ABC'S and 123's
I know it has been forever since I have been on here, but I have not had a moment to spare for what seems like forever lol. Not that I don't love being busy and working, church 24/7. I love it but, I am burning the candle at both ends which is not leaving much in the middle. Mason has learn to say most of his abcs thru about efgh and lmn kind of comes out weird, but he is learning and it is too cute to watch. He is also counting to 20. I want him counting to 100 by 5s by his 3rd b-day. That gives me 2 months on that goal. He is growing like a weed literally shooting up not just in height but shooting off at the mouth too. He ate most of the day today at one point he told me ''My stomach hurts.'' I did not even know he knew that was something that could hurt on him. Well, he is loving playing with the kids at church and he is benefiting from learning to sit still for long periods of time. He did not know how to do this before we started going to church, but it is awesome it helps when we go to eat or go anywhere where he needs to be still. I am just glad we are both getting what we need from church! Time to fold laundry got to get to it been putting it off so bye!
